Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use NameLore. In short: names are generated on your own device, and we collect as little about you as we possibly can.

Names stay on your device

Every name is generated locally, in your browser. The names you create are never uploaded to our servers and are never stored by us. When you close the page, they're gone unless you saved them yourself.

No accounts, no personal data

NameLore does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information that you don't volunteer. You can use the entire site without ever telling us who you are.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may keep standard server logs — such as IP addresses and browser type — for security and the ordinary operation of the service. These logs are a routine part of running a website.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visit a given generator. This helps us improve the site and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Advertising

We may in the future display ads via Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Third-party links

NameLore may link to third-party sites. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any site you visit through our links.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will post the updated version on this page along with a new “last updated” date.
